What Makes AppleGate Recovery Different From Other Addiction Treatment Clinics?
At AppleGate, we treat opioid addiction exclusively, helping patients every day. We specialize in MAT and focus on delivering counseling and support services to help our patients improve their lives.
Our patients can access our care 24/7 through our answering service. You can contact our office anytime for refills on your medication.
We provide the highest quality care by selecting staff members with compassion to ensure all patients have a positive experience. We treat every patient with the same care as anyone suffering from a life-threatening condition because we believe drug addiction is a disease.
How Does AppleGate Provide a Support System for Recovery?
Recovering from addiction does not have to be done alone. Whether it’s a friend, family member, counselor or someone you meet in the treatment center, having a team to support you throughout your journey is key to your success. Caring and supportive individuals will hold you accountable, cheer you on and be there for you when you need a boost of hope.
In group counseling sessions, you will find a community of people that have shared the same struggles and understand what you are going through. You can also find these support systems in 12-step meetings and other recovery groups, as well as with your friends and family.
Suffering from addiction can make you feel isolated from your family and friends, and recovery can help repair the bonds that may have been broken or strained. It is important to build a support group to motivate you throughout treatment, so the wounds caused by addiction can heal.
Will Buprenorphine Cure My Opioid Addiction?
Addiction does not have one specific cure but instead requires a series of treatments to overcome. We use buprenorphine and buprenorphine with naloxone, such as Suboxone®, to assist patients in their recovery. These medications help patients manage cravings, prevent withdrawal symptoms, focus their attention on counseling and resolve their underlying behavioral issues.
Buprenorphine and its compounds eliminate withdrawals by attaching to the same receptors in the brain as other opioids. It is considered a partial agonist, which means it activates the opioid receptors in the brain at a much lower level than full agonists. As you take more of the medication, the effects do not become more intense, making it impossible to “get high.” Buprenorphine and Suboxone® are less likely to be abused, making them an effective treatment for opioid addiction.
